News	Latest updates, event info., etc. There was a major server disaster in August 2007, when we lost all of recent updates to the site contents, server optimization, custom modifications to the software, etc. We are still in the recovery process and some links may not work.

Research	A major part of the Silvergrain project is to investigate effective ways to approach traditional photography using the latest science and technology: How can we improve image quality, image permanence and methods of presentation? What can we do to reduce toxicity to the user and minimize harm to the environment, while maintaining the highest level of image quality and archivality? What are the sensible choices in order to minimize waste materials, waste water, and greenhouse effect gases? How we should prepare for the future of silver-halide photography?
